We are proud to announce the first edition of the National Working Day on Energy Economics and Planning, jointly organized by the Commission for Energy Economics and Energy Planning from the Instituto Argentino de la Energía “General Mosconi” and the “Francisco Valsecchi” Economics School from Universidad Católica Argentina. We intend this way to favor the creation of a round table composed by a broad academic, business and institutional representation, in order to stimulate the development of papers and proposals in an environment of an open and democratic exchange of ideas regarding the energy sector’s issues.
This first edition, which is sponsored by prominent national and international organizations, such as the Buenos Aires representation of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), The Instituto Argentino del Petróleo y el Gas, the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), and the International Association for Energy Economics (IAEE), and , will be focused on the “New Energy Agenda for Argentina”
We truly believe that this represents an opportunity for analysis and reflection which leads to a discussion on the promotion of a general awareness on the energy sector’s key issues, and the development of possible solutions for overcoming a complex problem, labeled as a political, institutional, legal, technical and economic “Penta-Problem”, which needs to be tackled globally and simultaneously.
For this reasons we invite you to be part of this Working day, which represents the beginning of a long journey toward an open and high level discussion of the structural problems concerning the energy sector.
